The OREA Real Estate College will no longer be offering educational courses for real estate professionals in Ontario after December 31, 2020. The new provider of the Registration Education Program is the consortium of Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning (Humber College) and NIIT Canada, announced the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) today.
“We wish the new provider of real estate education success in its delivery of the New Program,” said Ettore Cardarelli, OREA President. “We are committed to working closely with RECO, Humber College and NIIT Canada in the transition through to the end of 2020. A strong working relationship will benefit both Realtor education and the consumers who will work with these professionals.”
The OREA Real Estate College has been the provider of real estate education in Ontario for over sixty years. The College has made its award-winning education accessible province-wide through multiple delivery channels, while ensuring that a consistent standard of education is delivered to all students.
“In light of this change, we want to assure our members that our mission to help Realtors succeed grows ever stronger,” said Tim Hudak, OREA CEO. “We will be doubling down on government relations, building in key services such as standard forms and leadership training and aggressively pushing for higher standards in the profession.”
The OREA Real Estate College will continue to offer the Registration Education Program until December 31, 2020. Students enrolled in the existing program will be allowed to complete their courses until this date.
