TORONTO, ON –OREA CEO Tim Hudak was named one of North American real estate’s most powerful and influential leaders and executives in the annual Swanepoel Power 200, released this week by T3 Sixty, the residential real estate brokerage industry’s leading management consulting and research firm. This is Hudak’s fourth appearance on the list.
Hudak led OREA during an unprecedented and challenging 2020, as the Ontario real estate industry grappled with the economic and societal impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. OREA led the charge in protecting its Members, their clients, and their communities by providing guidance for real estate transactions and pivoting to virtual tools, as well as providing support for REALTORS® and the communities they serve through the We Have Your Back COVID-19 Relief Plan.
Hudak also led OREA’s historic government relations initiatives and successes in 2020. In addition to advising the Government of Ontario on safe real estate protocols, OREA also successfully lobbied to make Ontario a leader in North America when it comes to education, professional standards, ethics, and modern business tools for real estate professionals. As a result, through Hudak’s leadership, the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2020 (TRESA) was passed and Ontario REALTORS® are finally allowed to form personal real estate corporations.
“It’s an honour to be named among some of the best and brightest leaders that are shaping the real estate industry today, especially during such a dynamic time,” said Hudak. “I’d like to thank our President, Sean Morrison, OREA’s Board of Directors, Members, the Government of Ontario, and OREA staff for their role in ensuring our 80,000 REALTORS® had the support, insights, and tools they needed to succeed in 2020.”
The extensive annual research and complete rankings can be found at sp200.com. The list ranks the leaders, executives and entrepreneurs from all sectors of the residential real estate brokerage industry based on months of intensive research, debate, and analysis.
