Farewell from OREA Real Estate College

At the core of all endeavours by the OREA Real Estate College has been the student. Any student who was ready to embark on the learning path and engage in the curriculum was a student who has received an education focused on active learning, critical thinking development and professionalism.

The college took its formative steps over six decades ago and, since then, has dedicated its existence to providing quality education that would open the doors to a rewarding career in real estate. Now that journey of has come to an end. We are proud to have had the opportunity to go on this trip with each and every one of you.

Before we say goodbye, we wanted to leave you with some final thoughts, which you may find helpful.

Good (technology) housekeeping

Since you will not be taking any further exams with the college, it is best practice to always remove any software you no longer need. As you were invited to do at the conclusion of your online exam, you should:

To continue to receive important information as a member of OREA:

• Update your contact information in My Portfolio, under My Info
• Update your email subscription preferences

Your OREA account

Your OREA My Portfolio account will continue to be accessible to you. In there you will have continued access to:

• Your tax receipts
• Your payment receipts
• Your course transcripts

You will also continue to have the ability to print an official history of all the courses you’ve taken with OREA Real Estate College. However, access to course related material will end on June 14th. This includes access to eLearning courses, ePubs and eBooks. Downloadable PDFs of the texts for the courses you enrolled in will be available until June 30th.

What if you need something else?

The college phone number will be retired soon. While, in the short term, we will still have limited staff to provide some post-college support, these services will also be sunsetted.

OREA, however, is not going anywhere. On the contrary, the Association will continue to be an integral part of your professional life in organized real estate. The Ontario Real Estate Association will continue to serve all of its REALTOR® members through the production of Standard Forms, top-tier advocacy, award-winning leadership development and other services.
