“Today, Ontario REALTORS® are pleased to see real action being taken by the Provincial government and City of Toronto to tackle the housing supply crisis that has left many young families struggling to achieve home ownership.

With over 100,000 people coming into Toronto every year, we’re excited to see a commitment to add more variety of homes to the market. Increasing the supply of homes, especially townhouses, stacked flats, and mid-rise buildings is the best way to give these buyers a better shot at home ownership.

We encourage more cooperative partnering with the Province and other municipalities to speed up approval processes and direct infrastructure spending towards water, sewer, roads and transit to land already designated for development.”
