Standard Forms Outreach
The OREA Forms Speakers Bureau offers presentations and information on the latest updates to Forms and clauses.
OREA’s current REALTOR® In Residence is none other than Ontario REALTOR® and OREA Past President, Ray Ferris. As a REALTOR® for the past 28 years, Ray has witnessed rapid change in the way which real estate is bought and sold.
The complexity of the modern real estate market combined with expanded legal obligations increases the need and expectations of a high standard of care and knowledge. REALTORS® are involved in transactions that have a high degree of emotion, financial risk and reward associated with them. For this reason, Ray continued his education, where he was awarded the Fellow of the Real Estate Institute (FRI) in 2017. In 2023, Ray was awarded OREA’s Cardarelli Legacy Award, which is reserved for an OREA Member that has demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and commitment to organized real estate.
Lee Ann has an extensive real estate background, including being an owner/Broker of Record, CRA, with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, and partner in a property management company. She is also Past President of the Chatham-Kent Association of REALTORS® and was an instructor for the OREA Real Estate College prior to her position there as Senior Manager, Curriculum. When the new education curriculum was being developed for the Humber College program, she was the subject matter expert for RECO’s Education department.
Since 2019, Lee Ann has worked with the OREA Standard Forms team on a variety of tasks and projects relating to Forms and Clauses, Member resources, preparation for the Trust in Real Estate Services Act (TRESA) implementation, and as a presenter for OREA’s outreach sessions.
Margaret has been the Broker of Record of her own brokerage, Develco Realty Services Limited, since 1990, serving clientele in York Region in all areas of their real estate endeavours.
She has authored and instructed real estate courses for over 35 years, starting with the OREA Real Estate College. Today, she facilitates the provincial real estate registration Commercial course and the Broker course and has been part of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC) faculty for many years, instructing both the Ethics and Business Practice course and the Consumer Behaviour and Negotiating course. In 2021, she received the Education Award from the Toronto Chapter of REIC and in 2024, she received the Joan B. Malay Instructor of the Year Award.
Having served as a Director on the board of the Niagara Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and actively participating in various committees, Nathan currently holds the position of Chair at the NAR. He has been a licensed REALTOR® in the Niagara region since 2005. His dedication to the industry extends behind the scenes, where he takes pride in contributing to the professional development of fellow real estate professionals.
As a member of our Forms Speakers Bureau, Nathan brings extensive experience, notably in his longstanding role on OREA’s Standard Forms Committee for over three years. This involvement equips him with valuable insights into the evolving landscape of Forms and Clauses, particularly influenced by TRESA.
Following an early career in the world of building products and architectural specs, Mike Douglas began his 30+ year real estate career in the Barrie area. Experience as brokerage owner and Broker of Record enhanced his interest in the profession, and he has served on many boards of directors/committees with both local associations and OREA.
Mike is interested in government relations, has an excellent understanding of governance best practices, and has a personal passion for building sciences and unique architectural design.
Lou Radomsky is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in 1977. He was a lecturer for the Canadian Bar Association and instructor for the Bar Admission Course.
