More homebuyers shopped around when seeking a mortgage in 2002

More homebuyers shopped around when seeking a mortgage in 2002, says a survey sponsored and managed by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation for the Canadian Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders.

Survey results show that 57 per cent of homebuyers shopped around and received mortgage proposals from several different lenders before deciding on a mortgage.

This number has increased by 11 per cent from a year earlier.
