Standard Forms Webinar bannerIntegrity and professionalism are two of the most important qualities that consumers seek in a REALTOR®. Using the right forms at the right time can help you maintain your integrity, compliance and fairness in your real estate practice. Learn more about the use of appropriate real estate forms at an upcoming web seminar (webinar) offered by the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA).

This live webinar is free to all OREA members. It will take place on Tuesday, August 16 at 1:00 p.m. “Adding Integrity with OREA Forms” will feature special guest participant John Burnet, manager of complaints, compliance and discipline at the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), who will present the regulator’s perspective on forms. The webinar will be hosted by Cassandra Agnew Walker, senior manager, standard forms, at OREA.

“We know that real estate today is increasingly complex and tight deadlines put added pressure on REALTORS®,” says Agnew Walker. “Maintaining your integrity and professionalism while juggling multiple simultaneous tasks can be a challenge. This webinar aims to show you how standard forms can help you to maintain integrity, compliance and fairness in the midst of your trading activities.”

The webinar will help you to:

  • Understand and comply with section 3 of the REBBA 2002 Code of Ethics - “Acting with Integrity”
  • Highlight OREA forms that enable you to act with integrity in your real estate trading
  • Improve your skill in documenting your communications with clients and customers
  • Demonstrate compliance, integrity and fairness in your trading activities.

Participants will also have an opportunity to submit questions and to share their own experiences. This webinar is just one in a series related to standard forms that is being presented by OREA this year. All you need to participate is a computer with working speakers and internet access.

Like all of the webinars, the format for this topic will be interactive. You can submit questions, listen to speakers and watch slides related to the topic. If you can’t participate in the seminar on the date offered, you can watch a recorded version at a later date and time convenient to you.

OREA members can register in advance in order to obtain a login link for the webinar. On the day of the webinar, members can log in up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Participation in this and other webinars will be on a first-come, first-served basis. For more details on all of these resources, visit Webinars and Tutorials.
