According to statistics released by The Canadian Real Estate Association, resale housing activity in Canada's major markets remained strong in February 2007.

According to statistics released by The Canadian Real Estate Association, resale housing activity in Canada's major markets remained strong in February 2007. Seasonally adjusted MLS® home sales in Canada's major markets totaled 29,955 units in February. This represents the second highest level for any month on record, and is just one per cent below the highest level on record reached in January 2007. The monthly decline in activity resulted from fewer transactions in Toronto, which more than offset higher activity in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and Saskatoon.
