OREA offers new course

OREA has created a new course that focuses on the revised Real Estate and Business Brokers Act.

OREA has created a new course that focuses on the revised Real Estate and Business Brokers Act. REBBA 2002, the course– and regulations– discusses insurance coverage, education, records and other administrative and practice matters. Students will learn about significant changes to the Act such as the requirement obliging all brokerages to designate a broker of record, who is not just a leader in name only, but who will be held accountable for the misdeeds of the corporate brokerage. The broker of record must properly supervise staff and employees and ensure that the brokerage complies with the Act and regulations. The three-hour three-credit course will also cover key areas such as brokerage ownerships, trust accounts, unclaimed trust money, false advertising and the new complaints process now under the Office of the Registrar, among others issues.

For more information on the course, check the course listings in the Continuing Education section of www.oreacollege.com or contact your local board to find out when the course will be offered.
