Revised mentoring kit now available

Salespeople need to know about the properties they are trying to sell and they need to know how to close a real estate transaction. Registration courses teach these skills. But salespeople also need to know how to find new clients, how to manage their time, and other skills to build their business.

To help, OREA has revised A Mentoring Kit for New Salespeople. The kit covers topics such as action planning to meet financial and career goals, prospecting for listings and qualifying the buyer. The new kit also has an entire section on For Sale by Owner transactions. The learning path has been updated to reflect the new curriculum with descriptions of each course.

The kit also contains DVDs on sales training for new salespeople and on how real estate is structured in Ontario.

Students began receiving a free copy of the new mentoring kit on July 29 with shipments of Course 3 General, Course 3 General: Advanced Residential and Course 3 General: Advanced Commercial. For those registered in any of these courses from April 1 this year who did not receive a kit, back orders will be filled. The mentoring kit is available for anyone to purchase for $75. Use the order form found on www.orea.com under Become A Real Estate Professional in the “Things you need to know” section.
