Recent changes to Ontario's Tenant Protection Act include revised forms and changes to the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal's Rules of Practice

As of January 1, 2003, the revised version of a form must be used. After that date, the previous version of a form is not considered a 'form approved by the Tribunal'.

REALTORS should make enquiries for their clients to determine if proper forms are being used for significant Notices such as those for terminating a tenancy.

While using an OREA suggested clause in an Offer for a Seller to give a proper Notice starts the process; using the proper form is also necessary.
