More women than men buy first home in 2004

According to a recent Royal LePage survey, 51 per cent of first-time buyers in 2004 were women, compared to 49 per cent for men.

According to a recent Royal LePage survey, 51 per cent of first-time buyers in 2004 were women, compared to 49 per cent for men. Among female respondents who have never owned a home, including never-married single women, 55 per cent said they're likely to buy their first property in the next three years compared to 45 per cent of the men.
