A new province-wide citizen’s coalition has been formed to fight for a five per cent cap on annual property assessment increases and reforms to the property tax system. The Coalition after Property Tax Reform (CAPTR), that represents 700 ratepayer groups with hundreds of thousands of members across Ontario, plans to survey all MPPs to seek their support for a cap. Contact CAPTR’s spokesperson, Bob Topp at (416) 929-9885 for more information.
