Timeline reminders

The OREA Real Estate College has started two campaigns to remind students of the time restrictions for completion of the Salesperson Registration Education Program.

The OREA Real Estate College has started two campaigns to remind students of the time restrictions for completion of the Salesperson Registration Education Program. This includes the pre-registration segment, registration as a salesperson and subsequent completion of the articling segment.

Students will receive a message in their My Portfolio accounts and through e-mail reminding them that all pre-registration courses must be successfully completed within 18 months of the Real Estate as a Professional Career start date (including examination rewrites, if necessary). No extensions are granted.

Members are reminded that in order to trade in real estate, graduates of the pre-registration segment must first obtain employment with a real estate broker and make an application for initial salesperson registration under the Real Estate & Business Brokers Act, 2002 to the Real Estate Council of Ontario within 12 months if successfully completing The Real Estate Transaction– General and The Residential Real Estate Transaction or The Commercial Real Estate Transaction. Full registration requirements can be found at www.reco.on.ca.

Please contact the OREA Real Estate College at 1-866-411-6732 or 416-391-6732 for more information.
