Canada’s housing market became more affordable as a result of modest declines in home prices and further gains in household incomes, according to a new report.

Canada’s housing market became more affordable as a result of modest declines in home prices and further gains in household incomes, according to a new report. The latest Housing Trends and Affordability Report by RBC Economics Research also showed a slight improvement in Ontario’s affordability. “We’re currently seeing more balanced market conditions and this provides scope for further easing in affordability-related stress in the province near-term,” says Craig Wright, RBC senior vice-president and senior economist.
