Making the most of your mls.ca

Providing value added service is so important in today's hot real estate market.

Providing value added service is so important in today's hot real estate market. Why not take full advantage of the free marketing tools available through mls.ca to help grow your business?

One of the valuable enhancements to the mls.ca tool kit on REALTOR Link™ is the “Web Report Card.” Imagine being able to provide your clients with regular reports on how often their listing was viewed on mls.ca. This powerful reporting tool can give you a promotional edge by showing clients the web traffic generated when they list their property with you.

The report is generated automatically through the “My Listings” feature on www.realtorlink.ca. To access the new system of internet traffic reports, go to the REALTOR Link home page. Click on “My Listings” in the upper left hand side and you’ll see a report on how many times your listings were viewed.

Other great mls.ca features
Photos–Each mls.ca listing can handle as many as nine individual photographs. According to a recent CREA survey, property photos are one of the most important things buyers want to see on a real estate website. To change or add photos to your listings, contact your real estate board.

Email address–Make sure your e-mail address is current. Buyers like e-mail because they can send you a message anytime, day or night, without having to deal with voicemail. To include your e-mail address on your listing, or make a correction, contact your real estate board.

Electronic business card–Post one with every listing you have on mls.ca. Include your personal portrait and franchise logo... along with a hotlink to your personal, broker, or franchise website. To insure that you don’t lose any traffic, check that your URL (web site address) on file with your real estate board is correct.

Electronic brochure and video/audio tours–If you have collateral sales material in an electronic form, be sure to include links in your listing. To learn how, talk to your real estate board. It also doesn’t hurt to test these links regularly – nothing turns off a buyer faster than the frustration of not getting the information they need.

Linkback to mls.ca–You can use your listings display on mls.ca on your personal or office website. If you have a professional personal web site, you can use the link feature to display all of your MLS properties without the cost of processing the listing data again.
