Leadership course training heads west

OREA’s leadership courses have been so well received that they have been demanded nationally.

OREA’s leadership courses have been so well received that they have been demanded nationally. The OREA Centre for Leadership Development has been working with CREA to make the courses available on a cost recovery basis to real estate associations, boards and leaders across the country. In the spring, the OREA Centre for Leadership Development headed west to test the interest in the leadership courses and see how feasible it would be to broaden their reach. These pilot projects were held for the Calgary Real Estate Board, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver and the Alberta Real Estate Association. The result of these trials is the introduction of the National Leadership Program. The British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) is the first association to get on board. In October, through an agreement with CREA, OREA is set to train their trainers to conduct Leadership 200 and 300 level courses. OREA will also provide materials on an on-going basis as well as course revisions, mentoring, a trainer’s blog and other services. BCREA plans to launch their leadership courses in the new year.
