The OREA Centre for Leadership Development launched Leadership 100 in April.

The OREA Centre for Leadership Development launched Leadership 100 in April. This web-based interactive course is geared toward assisting new and current volunteers in organized real estate understand how they can be effective and involved in their roles on committees and task forces. This course is available to all OREA members at absolutely no cost.
 
To register, log in to www.orea.com/leadership with your MLS ID and password. Click on enrol in the Leadership 100 box. Once you enrol, the Getting started page will show you how to navigate. A pre-assessment will show you how much you already know about organized real estate. By the end of the course, participants will be able to: describe how organized real estate is structured, and the responsibilities of each level of the organization; identify the characteristics of not-for-profit organizations, describe how elected/ appointed leaders work with association staff, and; apply the rules of meeting procedure, among other skills. Participants can take away many of the useful tips, such as helpful hints for meeting procedures, by printing the files. Once participants have completed the seven modules of the course, they will receive a hard copy certificate within seven to 10 days.
 
The goal of the OREA Centre for Leadership Development is to help real estate boards develop strong and well-trained volunteer leaders.
